Should You Consider Writing Your First Resume?If you have never written a resume, then you really need to think carefully about whether you want to hire you for a job or not. If you were a sales associate with a company for several years, that may be very relevant to your potential employer. A cover letter or resume that focuses solely on job experience is usually ineffective, and will not provide the best results.Although it may seem like a good idea to lay out all of your accomplishments on your resume, this should not be done for everyone. Even with the best job experience on your resume, a person may be qualified for a position that requires some special skills, and sho uld be qualified for that position even without a previous resume. An employer knows that some people are more suited to certain types of jobs than others, and an employee that is simply 'good' at one job may not be so good at another.So if you have never written a resume, you need to think about the implications of laying everything out on a resume. Make sure that you prepare a list of the skills that you have, and include them on your resume.
